No Dole Success Story

CONGRATULATIONS to the businesses and 100 managers and owners who made this week's Beacon Foundation's Will and A Way No Dole Program pledge day at Berkeley Sports Club a success.

When the Illawarra Mercury came on board as a sponsor six weeks ago, a handful of businesses had made a commitment to sit with Year 10 students from six Illawarra high schools and to support them in their move and provide valuable experience talking to business leaders.

A couple of weeks ago Wollongong City Council's Ruby Dimitrievski encouraged What I'm Hearing to get behind it.

A comprehensive look at the event will appear in the next Enterprise.

In the meantime, well done those involved in taking the step towards helping address our youth unemployment problem.
